Winter Solstice Art Show

The Winter Solstice Art Show is a judged, themed show and also offers AAI Artists the opportunity to sell not only their judged pieces but also up to 5 other pieces during the show.  The optional  theme of this show is:  WINTER

The venue is the Town Hall and will take place on Saturday, December 16th.  Set up will begin at 9:30am with judging starting at 11am.  The show opens to the general public at Noon with an Artist's reception that evening.   We will serve wine and refreshment from 5:30pm to 8pm.

Break down will start at 1pm on Sunday.  Artists should pick up any unsold artwork at that time or arrange for someone else to pick up your artwork.  

Notes for Artists:

  • Event is open to AAI artists only.  No walk-ins.  Online registration is required. 
  • If  not sure what will be entered into show, artist may still register by entering "n/a" during the registration process.  Contact us at artinidyllwild@gmail.com with the details of your pieces when available.  
  • For optimal planning purposes, do not wait to register online.  
  • Artists who donated a piece to the August 2017 Eye of the Artist will have the $15 entry fee waived.
  • Artists will be asked to select a category and to acknowledge the Art Show Overview when registering. Click here to print and read BEFORE registering. 
  • Important:  The MAXIMUM framed size of hanging art is 36" x 36"   All hanging art must  not exceed size restriction and must be properly wired for hanging.  Other than size restriction, all other details that are in the Art Show Overview are to be followed.  
  • This is a one-day judged show.  This is a themed show.  A ribbon will be awarded for the piece of art that best conveys the theme "Winter."  All art mediums are welcomed.  Each artist may enter one piece for judging and up to 5 additional pieces for sale. Sold artwork may be replaced.  If the artwork is sold before the reception, the artist may request that it be left in the show until after the reception.  Artist will be responsible for getting art to buyer, if left in show. 
  • We have space for artist demos.  Let us know if you would like to do so.
  • We need volunteers to set up, cover the show when open and break down.  Please volunteer to help out during the registration process.
  • Artists may pick-up unsold artwork between 1pm-3pm on Sunday, December 17th, or take it with them following the Artist Reception. 
  • Artists are asked to promote their participation in the show via social media and email.  No refunds.
  • Important dates:  
    • Registration Deadline:  Thursday, December 14, 5pm
    • Art Check-in:  Friday, December 15, Noon-2pm (or let us know if you need to make other arrangements)
    • Show Set Up:  Saturday, December 16th, from 9:30am
    • Show opens to the general public at Noon
    • Reception:  Saturday, December 16th, 5:30-8pm
    • Unsold Art Pick-up:  Sunday, December 17, 1pm-3pm 
  • Artists are asked to coordinate with other artists, if necessary, to ensure check-in and pick-up times are met.
