The Art of Christmas
The AAI is offering the opportunity to sell your art at the 57th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 25th. The booth will be open from 10am to 6pm. Be part of this community-spirited event with your artwork, holiday items and Christmas cheer.
Register now as spaces are limited. We will accept medium-sized art of all mediums and smaller gift-style items are likely to be popular, such as jewelry, wearable art, ceramics, greeting cards, prints in plastic sleeves, smaller wall art and mixed media. Registered artists may bring up to 5 items depending on size and the number of participants.
We ask for a $10 fee per registration and that you help with the booth for a couple of hours. This includes set-up (beginning at 8am), sales and breakdown of booth . Event lead is Cyn Grady (774) 277-1071.
Artwork delivery: Check in of artwork: 8:30-9:30am
Artwork pick-up: All artwork must be picked up by the end of the event at 6pm.
Wall hanging artwork must have wire with D-hooks. Price labels will be filled out by artist during check-in. W-9 forms will be required for all sales. Artist information such as business cards, postcards and bios will be optional.
Display tables, grid walls, greeting card racks and print bins are provided but with limited space. Artists may provide their own displays with prior approval from the event lead.
Artists are invited to demonstrate their creative process during the event with prior approval.
At this event, the AAI will be collecting new, unwrapped art-related gifts for children. These will be given to the Idyllwild Help Center to distribute for Christmas. Bring some art-related cheer during the holiday season by donating a gift.
The event features caroling, a children's choir, The Olde English Theatre Players present "The Night Before Christmas," musical performances, and, of course, the tree lighting featuring over 6,000 lights on the 100-foot tall tree.
The town comes alive with music, good cheer and lights!
