The Idyllwild Arts Foundation is presenting its 25th Annual Jazz in the Pines Festival in mid-August with over two dozen bands. In addition to music, they have vendor and artist booths.

We are pleased to announce that AAI has secured two wonderfully located art booth spaces at this popular festival.    It gives our artists another venue at which to show and sell their artwork.  This is an exciting opportunity to showcase art pieces potentially viewed by 1000's of Jazz attendees over the two days of the festival.

We are limiting the event to a maximum of 30 artists.   All art mediums are accepted but with a preferred theme of MUSIC.

Artists please read the "NOTES" section below.

This is not a juried or judged show, but artists must be an active AAI Artist Member to register.   To become a member click here.

This is a collaborative effort.   Each participating artist will deliver their artwork direct to the booths (A10/A11) on Friday, August 10th, from Noon until 2pm, design their own exhibition space and then hang or place their artwork accordingly. The AAI will provide panels for hanging artwork and pedestals and tables for 3D and wearable art (though these may be limited).

NOTES:

  • The deadline for registering is August 5, 2018 by 5pm.
  • Hanging Pieces:   Artists may hang a maximum of 4 pieces within their designated space.  All hanging pieces must be equipped for hanging with D-rings and picture wire.  Any not ready for hanging cannot be hung.  Depending on the size of your hanging artwork, you may be able to fit 1-4 pieces.
  • 3-D and Wearable Art:  Sculptures must be able to be picked up and moved by one volunteer.   You should provide your own displays for wearable art pieces and jewelry.  Please mark them so they may be returned to you.
  • Cards sold well at last year's event. We will also have a few bins for matted artwork.
  • Sales and applicable taxes will be paid through the AAI. All artists will be required to submit a W-9 if you do not already have one.   Click here if you need a W-9.
  • A 20% commission of the purchase price of any artwork sold will be paid to the AAI.
  • Prior to registration, click here to read the Limited Liability Waiver.
  • If art is sold during the event, artist will be contacted via phone if possible.
  • All unsold artwork will need to be picked up by the artist on Sunday between 6pm-7pm. Please plan accordingly.
  • Drop off your artwork to Booths A10/A11 (same location as last year) on Friday, August 10, from Noon until 2pm.  You may drive up to the booths.
  • We will set-up our booths early on Friday afternoon, have the display open for all hours of the Jazz Festival on Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12.
  • Tear-down of the booth will follow the concert end on Sunday.
