Judged Artist Members' Show and Gallery Working Artist Tour

Attn Artists:  On-line registration closed as of noon on May 23rd.  If you still wish to participate, walk-ins are welcome from 2pm-5pm at the Rainbow Inn on May 23rd only. 


Art is alive and well in Idyllwild!  During this two day public art show, member artists will have their work on display and for sale.  Free to the public, this judged event includes original artwork under $100 and is designed to encourage attendees to purchase originals from the judged categories.  After stopping by the show, visitors are further encouraged to visit member galleries around town to see working artists making new masterpieces! 


The show will be at the Rainbow Inn located at 54420 S Circle in Idyllwild.  It is open to the public on Saturday, May 24th, from 10am-4pm. An open reception to the public is open from 6pm-8pm on Saturday.


On Sunday, May 25th, the show is open to the public from 10am-3pm.





  • Only AAI Members may participate in this event.  AAI Membership dues must be paid up-to-date.  We love new artist members!  If you are not a current member, you may join the AAI by clicking here.
  • Each member may submit up to three pieces for sale.  One to be judged and two for the Under $100 gallery. 
  • There are NO price restrictions on the piece being judged.  If you elect to submit two additional pieces to the Under $100 gallery they must be priced under $100.
  • You will be asked to select a category when registering your judged piece.  Artists can view categories by clicking here.
  • Due to wall space limitations, the maximum size of hanging entries for this show is 32" x 28". 
  • Optional:  Each artist has the option to send a statement about their judged piece.  The statement can be about the art medium, creation process, or inspiration.  The statement is NOT to exceed 40 words and needs to be sent to aainews1@gmail.com by May 18th.  The AAI will then print out the statement and place it with the judged art piece.  (Note:  If you want the judge to see the statement, make sure the name of the artist is NOT mentioned in the statement.)  
  • The AAI is charged a credit card fee for all credit card transactions.  If a piece is sold and purchased by credit card, the 2.8% credit card fee will be deducted from the asking price before paying the artist.  If the artist elects to donate a % of their sale to the AAI, the 2.8% will NOT be an additional deduction. 
  • Drop-off of art is on Friday, May 23rd, to the Rainbow Inn between 2-5pm.
  • Pick-up of unsold art is on Sunday, May 25th, at the Rainbown Inn from 3pm-4pm.
