Winter Solstice Art Sale and Musical Fusion

Attention Artists:  On-line registration will close at 5pm on Thursday, December 18th.  Walk-ins are welcome during Friday check-in from 3pm-5:30pm.  If you have any last minute questions, please call Shanna Robb at 562-260-7451.  


The AAI and the Idyllwild Master Chorale bring a warm blanket of art and music to the mountain with our winter show collaboration.  This is a wonderful way for the community along with their friends to get into the holiday spirit by attending a wonderful winter show and also purchase some one-of-a-kind art made by local artists. 


Art Gallery will be open to the public on Saturday, December 20th, from 12:30pm-5:30pm.  Entrance is FREE. 


Gallery will be open to Master Chorale ticket holders only one hour before performance and during intermission on both December 20th and 21st.   The musical collaboration is a night not to miss with chorale music and jazz fusion.  For tickets to the Master Chorale show, click here

 

NOTES TO ARTISTS:

 

  • Only AAI Members may participate in this event.  AAI Membership dues must be paid up-to-date.  We love new artist members!  If you are not a current member, you may join the AAI by clicking here.
  • A maximum of 3 pieces may be submitted to the art show.  People's choice will be awarded both on Saturday and Sunday during Master Chorale performance.  
  • Hanging artwork must be already wired to hang.  Maximum size of artwork submitted for show not to exceed 30" height x 36" width.  Please, no exceptions.
  • Artists are encouraged to register on-line, as it helps the volunteers overseeing the show logistics.  On-line registration will close at 5pm on Thursday, December 18th.  Walk-ins are welcome during Friday check-in from 3pm-5:30pm.  
  • Show registration fee of $20 will be waived for artists who donated a piece to the March Eye of the Artist fundraiser.
  • The AAI is charged a credit card fee for all credit card transactions.  If a piece is sold and purchased by credit card, the 2.8% credit card fee will be deducted from the asking price before paying the artist.  If the artist elects to donate a % of their sale to the AAI and the piece sells, the 2.8% credit card fee will waived. 
  • Volunteers are needed to help build gallery and hang artwork on Friday, December 19th,.  Volunteers are also needed to man gallery on December 21st from 12:30-5:30 and during the two shows (December 21st 6:30pm-9pm and December 22nd 12:30pm-4:pm).  Those that help during the shows get to see the musical portion of the show at no charge.  Available on Monday?  We will need help taking down the show.  To volunteer for a shift OR a couple hours, please contact Shanna Robb at srobb@givingyoutime.com.

Drop-off of art is on Friday, December 19th, from 3pm-5:30pm at the Idyllwild Elementary School Gym at 26700 Hwy 243.  NO LATE deliveries will be accepted.  Artists may submit up to three pieces of artwork for the show.  To coordinate an early drop off the week prior, call 877-439-5278.


Pick-up of unsold art is on Sunday, December 21st, at the Idyllwild Elementary School gym from 4pm-5pm.  If unable to pickup during these hours, artist must coordinate with someone else to pick up unsold artwork.
